Lakeside Apartments Committee

External Relations Delegate: Maria Curria (she/her/hers)

I am an Argentinean 3rd year PhD student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department and a Lakeside Resident since January 2020. I am currently serving as the GSG Assembly representative for CEE and as a volunteer co-administering Lakeside’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. I have also been serving as Social Chair in the Princeton Graduate Society of Women Engineers (GSWE) board for the past 2 years, and have taken part in many community outreach programs across campus.

My interest in participating in these organizations comes from my desire to help students transit the best Grad School experience possible, by not only promoting community-fostering activities, but also helping to develop policies and take actions to minimize the stress generated by bureaucracy. As a woman and a member of the Latinx community, it is of particular importance to me to cultivate an inclusive and safe environment, where each grad student and their families can live and thrive without the added stress of feeling secluded. If elected as External Relations Delegate, I will apply my enthusiasm, my previous experience and the ongoing communications with different Princeton Student Organizations to advocate on behalf of all Lakeside residents.

If you have any questions about my previous work or if you have any suggestions/concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at mcurria@princeton.edu. These are really hard times we are going through, and I am committed to help our community get through them as best as we can.
