You should receive a “New Resident Move-in Guide” prior to your move by email. Please read the guide carefully.
Before you move (7 days prior):
- Upload proof of renter’s insurance to the Princeton Housing Portal (do not wait until move-in day).
- Upload proof of pet liability insurance if you have a pet.
- Submit your security deposit and documentation.

Key pickup:
Pick up your keys from the Lakeside Main Office in the Commons (200 Lakeside Road) at your scheduled check-in time. Keys cannot be picked up at Public Safety. If you need an after-hours or weekend pickup, contact the office in advance at (609) 642-2861.
Move-in day:
- Bring a valid ID and your Princeton ID (PUID).
- Bring carts or dollies if needed — these may not be available at Lakeside.
- Fill out the unit condition form and return it within 24 hours of check-in.
